INASHIKI NEST is located in Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, right on the border with Chiba Prefecture. This area is sometimes referred to as “Chibaraki.”

INASHIKI NEST is not your typical tourist destination.
It doesn’t have a nearby train station, so reaching it by public transportation can be a bit challenging. However, it is easily accessible by car or bicycle.
As a result, the vicinity remains uncrowded, providing a tranquil and serene environment for visitors to relax.
The lodging available here is a traditional Japanese-style house. Despite being a first-time visitor, there is a sense of nostalgia and comfort in its appearance.
When you open the large sliding doors in the living room, the wind flows through the house, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. You can relax on the tatami mats, read or meditate on the “engawa” (porch), and spend your time at ease in the tranquility of the natural surroundings. Depending on the season, the nearby fields are adorned with herbs and vegetables. Guests can use freshly harvested vegetables to cook in the lodging’s kitchen or make fresh herbal teas.

A short distance away, you’ll find the preserved historical streets of Koedo SAWARA, where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of old Edo (Tokyo’s former name). Exploring the area and dropping by cafes make for an enjoyable experience, as you reflect on the history.
You can take a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the ring-ring road of Lake Kasumigaura, explore the narrow paths through rice paddies, and visit the famous Ohsugi Shrine, known for granting wishes.

ここはいわゆる典型的な観光地ではありません。
電車の最寄駅がなく、公共交通手段でたどり着くには少しばかり大変ですが、車や自転車で来ていただくことができる場所です。
そのため、近隣は全く混雑することなく、静かで落ち着いた環境に身を置くことができます。
宿となる家は、日本家屋の造り。

居間は大きな履き窓を開けると、風が家の中を通り抜け、とても心地よく、畳の上でごろごろしたり、縁側で読書や瞑想したり、ゆったりとした時間の中、静寂で自然溢れる落ち着く環境に身を置きながら、のんびりしたり、ご友人やご家族の皆様との楽しい思い出づくり等々、思い思いな時間を過ごしていただけます。
季節によって畑にはハーブやお野菜があります。
採りたての新鮮な野菜を使って宿のキッチンで料理をしたり、フレッシュハーブティを作ったりもできます。
